ISRO 150 satellites: India has taken an important decision for national security and more comprehensive monitoring of border and coastal areas. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch 100 to 150 new satellites over the next three years, which will make it possible to monitor close monitoring on the borders and beaches of the entire country.
ISRO President and Space Secretary V. Narayanan gave this information at an event on Wednesday. He said, “Currently, India has about 55 operational satellites, but this number is insufficient for a large border like India and a country with a 7,500 km beach. So there is a strict need for more satellites.”
Interior reform and private sector participation
Narayanan said that there have been major improvements in the space sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These reforms have also given private companies an opportunity to actively participate in satellites and rocket production. He said, “Today we are not only dependent on ISRO, but are also involving private sector in this process. This will speed up the production of satellites and strengthen our security capabilities.”
ISRO’s role after terrorist attack
Recently, 26 people lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. When asked what steps ISRO could take to ensure the security of the country in view of this incident, Narayanan gave details of the above plans. He said, “The increasing number of satellites will make it possible to continuously monitor any part of the country, which will help in quick detection and timely action of terrorist activities.”
Historical success of SpadX campaign
ISRO has recently achieved a major achievement in the Spadex (Space Docking Experiment) Mission. According to Narayanan, India successfully docked two satellites on 16 January and then successfully ignored them on 13 March. The second successful docking was last week. India has become the fourth country in the world to achieve this success, before the United States, Russia and China are included in this list only. It has proved to be a new milestone in India’s space exploration.
Satellite Project for Climate Change Studies
Narayanan gave information about another important initiative. ISRO has started working on developing a special satellite to study climate change deeply. This satellite will be used mainly to serve the G20 countries. About 50 percent of the equipment for this satellite will be developed in India, while the remaining equipment will be made available by other G20 countries. This initiative will be an example of global cooperation to deal with the challenges of climate change.
Effective use of AI in the health sector
In this program, a new technology was also introduced in the field of advanced healthcare by Kaveri Hospital. Dr. Arvindan Selvaraj said that the new system, “AI operated robotic compatible O-ARM with the stealth navigation system will enable the brain and spinal surgery to perform more effective and cost effective way.
A new chapter of India’s progress in the space field
Through these initiatives, India is strengthening national security and will also play an important role in global contribution related to space exploration and climate change. There is no doubt that ISRO’s initiative will further strengthen India’s position in the space sector.
