Biaora (Madhya Pradesh): Muslims in the district raised anti-Pakistan slogans and burnt an effigy of terrorism on Saturday. They were protesting against the killing of 28 tourists in Pahalgam on Tuesday.

A large number of Muslims gathered outside Jama Mosque and took out a funeral procession of terrorism. They said they would give each drop of their blood in defence of the country.

District secretary of the Waqf Board, Sayed Baqar Ali, said if 140 crore people walked over Pakistan, the country would turn into dust.

The government of India should bring Pakistan to its knees, the protesters said. Congress leader Fareed Ahmad said if any country cast an evil eye on the country, 140 crore people would be ready to give a suitable reply.

The country is united against terrorism, he said. Killing people in the name of religion is an unpardonable offence, he said. Whenever Hindu brethren go to Amarnath temple, the Muslims are ready to serve them, but the terrorists are trying to create a rift between Hindus and Muslims, he said.

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): In a united show of solidarity against terrorism, traders in Chhatarpur observed a complete shutdown on Saturday to protest the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Markets including Chowk Bazar, Bajariya, and Old Tehsil Road remained closed as a mark of respect for the victims.

Trader leaders Anand Agarwal and Kallu Mor condemned the brutal attack and called for the harshest punishment for those responsible, emphasizing that such acts threaten the country’s unity and instill fear in society.

A tribute meeting was held at Chowk Bazar, where traders paid homage to the deceased and raised their voices in one accord against terrorism. Later, a delegation met ADM Milind Nagdive and submitted a memorandum demanding strict anti-terror laws and swift justice. The bandh remained peaceful and disciplined, reflecting Chhatarpur’s firm stance against terrorism and its unwavering commitment to national integrity.
