After the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have intensified action on terrorists. The houses of five terrorists associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba were demolished in Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama districts.
The house of Lashkar Commander Shahid Ahmed Kutte was completely converted into debris in Chotipora village in Shopian district. The Kutte was active in terrorism-related activities for the last three-four years and has been accused of coordinating anti-national campaigns.
The house of terrorist Zahid Ahmed active in Mataram area of Kulgam was also dropped. At the same time, the house of terrorist Ahsan ul Haq was blown out of the explosion in Murran area of Pulwama. According to the information, Ahsan went to Pakistan in 2018 and took terrorist training and recently became active in the valley, causing anxiety among intelligence agencies.
Apart from this, a two -storey house of Lashkar terrorist Ehsan Ahmed Sheikh, who was active since June 2023, was also demolished. According to sources, cases have been registered against all the terrorists.
On Thursday night, two terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack- Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh exploded, destroyed their houses completely. Sources said that there were already some explosives inside these houses, causing further losses.
Declaration of reward
The Anantnag police has released sketches of Adil Thokar and two other terrorists involved in the attack. Two other suspects- Hashim Musa alias Suleman and Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai, are both said to be Pakistani citizens. The police has announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh to the person giving them.
Attack in Basaron Valley
On Tuesday, terrorists fired indiscriminately in the Baisran Valley, called ‘Mini Switzerland’. 26 people, including a Nepali citizen, were killed in this attack, while many others were injured. According to eyewitnesses, there was chaos among tourists as soon as the bullets fired, but due to the open area they could not hide.
Extensive search operation of security forces
After the attack, the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police have started extensive search operations in the area. Security has been tightened in the surrounding areas including Pahalgam and the operation is going on to search for suspected terrorists.
