Thieves Escape With Cash & Valuables From House In MP’s Satna | Representative Image

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A band of thieves made off with cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees from a house in the Kotar area near the Aber bus stand in Satna city on Thursday.

The burglars entered the house by scaling the walls when the family members were sleeping, the police said.

Ram Kalesh Singh lodged a complaint at Kotar police station about the incident. The police came to know about the thieves after examining the CCTV footage.

Elderly woman looted

Two bikers snatched a wallet from an elderly woman on the Kamdagiri Parikrama Path (circumambulation path) near Bihari Ji temple at 3am at Chitrakoot on Thursday. The wallet contained Rs 5,000 and a mobile phone.

The woman, identified as 60-year-old Krishna Guta, is a resident of Auraiya district in UP. Gupta said the bikers had agreed to take her around Parikrama Path for Rs 100.

After the journey, when she was going to give them money, the bikers snatched the wallet from her.

The woman’s family members were doing circumambulation on foot, and she was performing the Parikrama on a bike.

Chitrakoot TI, R Sharma, said a police team was sifting through the CCTV footage to identify the bikers.
