Threat to kill Gautam Gambhir: The head coach of the Indian cricket team and former BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has received threats to kill ‘ISIS Kashmir’. After this threat, Gambhir approached the Delhi Police on Wednesday and demanded immediate action. According to the SHO of Rajendra Nagar police station and DCP of Central Delhi, Gambhir had formally requested to register an FIR.
Gambhir received two threatened emails on 22 April
According to the report, Gambhir received two threatened emails on 22 April. One email came in the afternoon and the other in the evening. The message was written on both of them ‘I will kill you’. This is not the first time Gambhir has faced such threats. A similar email was received during his tenure as an MP in November 2021.
Delhi Police’s statement on threats to Gambhir
Regarding the threat of killing Gambhir, Delhi Police said, “We have received information about an email, in which Gautam Gambhir has been threatened.” We are investigating the matter. Gambhir is already under the protection of Delhi Police. We cannot disclose specific information regarding their safety.
Gambhir condemned the Pahalgam attack.
Gautam Gambhir strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack on Tuesday. Gambhir wrote on X – ‘Prayer for the families of those killed.’ Those responsible for this will have to pay its price. India will answer. ‘
The attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir lost 28 innocent people, while terrorists opened fire on tourists in Besaran Valley. This attack is considered to be the worst after the 2019 Pulwama attack.
