Google’s new work policy: Ultimatum to return to office for remote employees, otherwise leave the job

Google has given another major change in its work policy and has now given an ultimatum to some employees doing remote work to come to office or leave the company. Compiring hybrid work mode, Google has made it clear that in-tradition is the basis of the company’s innovation and AI strategy.

What is the new policy?

  • Employees mandatory to come to office at least 3 days a week

  • Employees who cannot do so will be offered volunteer exit package

  • This rule is necessarily applicable to employees living within 50 miles from Google’s office

  • If you do not return the office by June 2025, then the job may be affected

Why this step was taken?
