“Saksham,” an annual event, is organised by the School of Media & Communications. Currently in its sixth edition, “Saksham” is an initiative driven by students, for students, and about students.

On April 25th, 2025, the annual ‘Saksham’ event encourages individuals to donate blood through the ‘Blood Donation’ drive initiative. In addition to promoting sustainable products and local entrepreneurship through an NGO Bazaar, the event will feature a ‘Panel Discussion’ on the theme ‘Gen Z in the Workplace,’ which will explore the evolving role of today’s youth in professional environments.

The inaugural event was launched with great excitement on April 22, featuring a lively celebration. Students illuminated the campus with a fashion showcase, a high-energy dance performance, and a soulful singing performance, culminating in the highly anticipated unveiling of the theme.

On April 24th, the School of Media & Communications successfully hosted a marathon at 7 a.m., aligning with its broader theme of “Saksham.” The event, which included a 2.5km run, generated significant excitement and anticipation among students for the upcoming activities.

“Saksham allows students to take charge of social service activities and gets them to learn about event execution, sponsorship acquisition, and takes on a new socially important theme every year. I am very proud of this event and all the students who execute it,” says Mr. Rahul Puri, Director of Academics, Whistling Woods International.

The students are looking forward to the 25th of April, hoping for maximum collection, at the ‘Blood Donation Drive’— all for the greater good.

Open to students, faculty, and invited guests, Saksham 2025 promises a day of thoughtprovoking dialogue, community participation, and purpose-driven celebration.
