In response to the recent tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 28 people on Tuesday, Akasa Air has announced flexible travel options for affected passengers. The airline is offering free cancellations and rescheduling for flights to Srinagar between April 23 and April 29, 2025.
The announcement was made via a post on the airline’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), where Akasa Air expressed solidarity with the nation and travellers impacted by the incident. The airline stated:
“In support of the nation and the traveling customers, Akasa Air is committed to providing enhanced flexibility through change and cancellation fee waivers for all flights to and from Srinagar.”
Passengers who wish to cancel their bookings for flights within the specified period will receive a full refund without any cancellation charges. Additionally, travellers have the option to reschedule their journey once at no extra cost.

Akasa Air Travel Flexibility Details for Srinagar Flights (April 23β29, 2025):
Full Refund Option: Customers who choose to cancel their bookings for flights to or from Srinagar between 23rd April 2025 and 29th April 2025 will receive a full refund.
No cancellation charges will be applied
Free Rescheduling Option: Customers who wish to reschedule their travel will be allowed to make their first schedule change free of charge. The revised travel date must fall within 7 days of the originally scheduled departure date.
