Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke to Home Minister Amit Shah over the phone regarding the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Posting on the social media platform X (X), Rahul Gandhi said that he also interacted with Amit Shah and also interacted with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and State Congress President Tariq Karra and inquired about the current situation.

Please tell that soon after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah reached Srinagar from Delhi. Arriving there, he took a detailed review of the security situation of Jammu and Kashmir. Shah went directly from the airport to Raj Bhavan, where Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat gave him detailed information about the attack and security situation. During this, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and IB chief Tapan Deka were also present.
Shah then chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials of all security agencies including Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Rahul Gandhi strongly condemned the attack
Rahul Gandhi had already strongly condemned the attack, describing this attack as “cowardly and heartbreaking”. He said that the death of innocent people in this terrorist attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir is very unfortunate and condemnable. Rahul Gandhi demanded from the government that he should not only claim the situation to be normal, but should take concrete and decisive steps.
