A wedding ceremony suddenly came into controversy in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. Two sisters were to be married in a village on Thursday, but the elder sister’s groom was arrested by the police before reaching the wedding venue. The matter came to light that the groom was in a relationship with another girl for the last seven years.
The younger sister was married to the groom on time, but her marriage was canceled due to the arrest of the elder sister’s groom. Police detained a resident of Basadhara village in Muzaffarnagar district on the complaint of another girl. The victim alleges that the groom was having a relationship for the last seven years by pretending to be married.
On Friday, the people of the girl side reached Daulhe village, where the controversy grew in the presence of the police and both sides reached an agreement. Under the agreement, the boy agreed to give back Rs 30 lakh for the wedding expenses. The police is investigating the matter
