JD Vance Taj Mahal Visit: US Vice President James David Vance (JD Vance) arrived in Agra on Wednesday morning to see the Taj Mahal with his family. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him at Kheria Airport. Folk artists also performed Mayur dance and other cultural performances on the occasion.

In view of the arrival of the US Vice President, a high alert has been declared in Agra. Section 163 has been implemented in the district to strengthen the security system, under which five or more people have been prohibited from gathering, demonstrations or rally. Additional police force has been deployed at intersections. There are also security equipment such as anti -missile system and maritime helicopter.

In view of security, all schools in Agra remained closed on Wednesday, but online classes were released. JD Vance, his family and delegation reached the VIP Eastern Gate of Taj Mahal with a convoy of 32 luxury cars.

After seeing the Taj Mahal, JD Vance will leave for Jaipur at 1:25 pm. On reaching Jaipur, a lunch program has been held at the City Palace, which will include Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari.

It is worth noting that earlier on 24 February 2020, the then US President Donald Trump had come to Agra with his wife Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump and son -in -law and had seen the Taj Mahal.
