Eye retina: Scientists have discovered a color that people had never imagined for the first time. This invisible color is named ‘Olo’. Researchers at the University of California have used a sophisticated technique to hack the human retina, causing only green receptors (m con) activated and a wonderful saturated color appears, which is in a blue-green category, but is very intense and dense.
The name ‘Olo’ is derived from scientific coding 0,1,0, in which only M cone was activated and the remaining cones were left inactive. The experiment used AO and OCT techniques, including high-resolution retinal mapping, accurate laser stimulation and control over micro-eye speed.
Participants who saw this aura, described it as a foreign color which was different from any other normal color. This discovery will not only redefine colors, but will also help in complex conditions such as understanding color-blindness, treatment of eye diseases and tetrocomacy. Although this technique is currently limited and highly expensive, Olo is proof that our vision and understanding can be further carried forward through science.
