Mumbai Hosts First Joint Meet Of Indian Airlines’ Flight Safety Chiefs To Boost Aviation Standards | File
The chiefs of flight safety of all Indian airlines and aircraft operators met for the first joint meeting to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement across the industry.
Akasa Air hosted the first-ever meeting under the Chiefs of Flight Safety (COFS) initiative to enhance aviation safety in India. The milestone gathering brought together the Chiefs of Flight Safety of all Indian airlines and aircraft operators in a shared effort to address safety challenges and set new benchmarks for operational excellence.
The first such initiative was held under the unifying theme of ‘Safety Beyond Competition’ at Akasa Air’s Mumbai headquarters. By creating a forum for open dialogue and the exchange of best practices, the COFS are taking critical steps towards definitive strides in making Indian aviation the safest in the world.
Capt. Gaurav Pathak, chief of flight safety, Akasa Air, said, “The launch of the safety beyond competition initiative is a proud moment not just for Akasa Air, but for the entire Indian aviation industry. The inaugural COFS meeting witnessed active participation from airlines and operators across the country, reflecting a strong, industry-wide commitment to advancing safety standards through collaboration. This united front reflects a strong industry-wide commitment to enhancing safety standards for the benefit of passengers, crew, and stakeholders alike.
