According to reports, a violent altercation broke out between the couple around 3:30 PM on Sunday. “It is alleged that last evening, the couple fought over the issue, and she allegedly overpowered him and stabbed him multiple times,” sources told NDTV. Police investigation also revealed that Pallavi allegedly threw chilli powder at Om Prakash, tied him up, and then attacked him using two knives and a glass bottle.

The victim’s son has filed a complaint, stating that his father had been receiving death threats for the past week. He further revealed that the family had been embroiled in ongoing property and marital disputes. The son also mentioned about Pallavi and Kriti’s struggles with depression.
“Around 4:00 PM, we got information about the death of our former DGP and IGP Om Prakash,” Bengaluru Additional Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar told ANI.
“Initial investigation suggests that things might be internal… It seems that some sharp weapon has been used, which caused so much blood loss that it led to death,” he added.
