Crackdown On Jabalpur Beauty Parlours Providing Unauthorised Skin, Hair Treatments | AI Generated Image

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The health department in Jabalpur is set to take strict action against beauty parlours that are offering skin, hair, and cosmetic treatments without proper medical qualifications or registration.

According to Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Sanjay Mishra, the department has received several complaints against beauty parlours performing such treatments without certification.

He has asked the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation and other local bodies to provide a list of such parlours.

Parlours providing laser treatment

Dr. Mishra revealed that many parlours are using advanced techniques like laser treatments, hair therapy, and skin cleaning without proper training.

Some even use medical-grade lasers, which are strictly prohibited for use by untrained individuals.

These treatments, if done without knowledge, can cause skin burns, infections, and even lead to serious conditions like skin cancer.

Health department to inspect parlours

The health department will inspect all parlours that claim to offer any kind of skin or hair treatment. A detailed action plan is being prepared to curb these illegal practices and ensure public safety.

Citizens have been advised to be cautious and consult only registered dermatologists for any skin or hair issues. People are also encouraged to report any parlour engaging in unauthorized medical practices to the health department. Dr. Mishra made it clear that registration with the department is mandatory for anyone providing such services to ensure they are qualified to do so.
