CID season 2 started airing on Sony TV from December 2024, and later, the show also premiered on Netflix. Well, in one of the episodes, it was shown that ACP Pradyuman’s character has passed away. Veteran actor Shivaji Satam has been playing the role since 1998, and recently, when his character died, his fans were quite upset. The makers roped in Parth Samthaan to play the new ACP, however, it looks like ACP Pradyuman is all set to make a comeback in the show. Parth on Saturday shared a BTS from the sets of CID and in the video, he is seen shooting with Shivaji.
The actor wrote, “Shooting with ACP Pradyuman Aka Shivaji Satam was a delight and full of entertainment. Gem of a guy.” Now, this BTS video has surely left the audience excited to know whether ACP Pradyuman is coming back or not.
Parth Samthaan as ACP Ayushman In CID 2
Initially, there were reports that Parth will be replacing Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. But, of course, that did happen and the actor was introduced as ACP Ayushman.
Parth had posted a promo of the show on his Instagram, and he had shared a long note. The actor wrote, “Introducing ACP Ayushman in the most Iconic, loved and longest running show – CID !!! This show has always been an integral part of our childhood and Indian Television ! The all time famous dialogues as well as the officers becoming veterans or rather Legends (ACP pradyuman , Daya & Abhijeet ) , this show has seen it all and to be a part is truly a blessing for me (sic).”
He further wrote. “Moreover , me doing a comeback to Tv after 5 years , to be honest CID was one show I never thought i would be a part of , but then , that’s life – always being unpredictable and mysterious and I always end up taking that unplanned route for myself , be it Kyy or Kasautii ! So let’s begin this beautiful journey and crack some cases #omnamahshivay (sic).”
Parth fans are super excited to see him in this new role.
