A four -storey building collapsed late at Shaktiwihar in Dayalpur in Mustafabad area of Delhi. On receiving the information of the accident, immediately five vehicles of the fire department, Dog Squad, NDRF and Delhi Police teams reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations are going on fast.
Relief-rescue work continues
So far 10 people have been safely evacuated from the rubble, while about 20-25 people are still feared to be stranded. So far 4 people have died in this accident. Local residents are also assisting teams in rescue operations.
Accident information was found late at night
Delhi Fire Service Divisional Officer Rajendra Atwal informed that the information of the accident was received at around 2:50 pm. Relief-rescue teams immediately reached the spot on the information of the accident. The victims of the accident have been admitted to the nearest hospital. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are believed to be the cause of the accident last night.
The accident has happened before
It is worth mentioning that earlier in Madhu Vihar area of Delhi, there was an incident of falling wall of the building under construction, in which one person was killed and two people were injured. This accident also happened during a strong thunderstorm.
