Western Railway Announces Summer Special Trains Between Mumbai Central & Rajkot; Check Details | Representational Image

Mumbai: To accommodate the increased travel demand during the summer vacation season, Western Railway has announced special train services between Mumbai Central and Rajkot via X on Friday. The decision aims to provide passengers with a convenient and hassle-free journey during the peak holiday rush.

The announcement was made by Western Railway through a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the post, WR stated, “For the convenience of passengers and to meet the travel demand during the summer season, WR will run a special train between Mumbai Central and Rajkot.”

The Train numbers 09005 and 09006 will operate as part of this summer special arrangement. These trains are expected to ease congestion and offer additional options to travellers heading to or from Rajkot. Bookings for both trains will open from April 19, 2025, and tickets can be purchased at PRS counters as well as through the IRCTC website.

From: Mumbai Central

To: Rajkot

Days of operation: 21.04.2025 to 28.05.2024

Departure: 23.20 hrs (Mon, Wed, Fri)

Arrival: 11.45 hrs (Next Day)

Halts: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Surendranagar and Wankaner station in both directions.

Class: : First AC, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier Coaches.

Bookings open from: The booking for Train Nos. 09005 and 09006 will open on 19.04.2025 at all PRS Counters and on the IRCTC website.

Second Journey Details

From: Rajkot

To: Mumbai Central

Days of operation: 22.04.2025 to 29.05.2025

Departure: 18.30 hrs (Tue, Thu, Sat)

Arrival: 07.30 hrs (Next Day)

Halts: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Surendranagar and Wankaner station in both directions.

Class: : First AC, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier Coaches.

Bookings open from: The booking for Train Nos. 09005 and 09006 will open on 19.04.2025 at all PRS Counters and on the IRCTC website.

The above trains will run as special train on a Special Fare.
