The main accused and fugitive diamond merchant Mehul Choksi, the main accused in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam, has been arrested in Belgium. Choksi has been arrested at the request of Indian security agencies.
Choksi has been living in Antigua since 2018.
Choksi went to Belgium for treatment. Belgian police arrested Mehul Choksi on 11 April. The arrest was made at the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
