Kiev: Officials said in a statement that more than 34 people were killed and 117 others were injured in the Russian missile attack on Ukrainian city of Sumi. According to officials, the attack took place at 10:15 am when people gathered to celebrate Palm Sunday.

Significantly, a day before this attack, senior diplomats from Russia and Ukraine accused each other of violating the peace agreement between the two countries in the ongoing talks between the two countries.

The Russian Foreign Minister has alleged that even after the talks started, Ukraine is attacking Russia every day. On the other hand, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister has said that even after agreeing to hold limited attacks, Russia has dropped 70 missiles, 2,200 drones and 6,000 air bombs on Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelansky confirmed the report that Russia had fired two ballistic missiles. He said that many people have been killed in this attack and rescue operations are going on.

He said that according to preliminary information many civilians have been killed and many citizens have been injured. Only cruel people can kill common citizens in this way.

According to the Ukrainian President’s Office head Andrey Jerumk, cluster weapons were used in the attack to kill more and more people.

This is the second attack targeting citizens in the last week. Earlier on April 4, 20 people, including 9 children, were killed in an attack in the home of the hometown of Zelanski. Zelancesi sought reaction from countries around the world on the attack. Despite the talks, ballistic and aerial bomb attacks have not stopped. Action should be taken against Russia in the same way as against a terrorist.

Other world leaders have also criticized the attack. French President Macron has said that this attack will also affect the US -led peace talks between the two countries.
