Supreme Court: According to a recent order of the Supreme Court, all current and future judges will have to declare their assets on the official website of the court. The Supreme Court took this decision from the Delhi High Court after a fire of crores of rupees during the fire in the house of Judge Yashwant Verma, who was transferred from the Delhi High Court to Allahabad High Court. However, only 12 percent of the total judges of the High Court and the Supreme Court have declared their assets.

Recently, only 11.94 percent judges have declared their assets as per the details of the property declared by the judges on the website of the Supreme Court and the High Court. 30 out of 33 judges of the Supreme Court declared their property before the Chief Justice. However, these details could not be published on the Supreme Court website due to some technical disturbances.

However, the details of assets of 95 or 12.46 percent of 762 judges of the High Court are available on the court website. Apart from this, there are 18 High Courts whose property of judges is not available on the website. It also includes the largest Allahabad High Court, including 81 judges. Other such High Courts include Bombay, Calcutta, Gujarat and Patna High Courts. The Kerala High Court judges are at the forefront of the property declaration, 41 out of 44 judges of the Kerala High Court have declared their assets.
