Namdev Dhasal Festival to be held on Friday in honor of Javed Akhtar
It is being organized in memory of the famous Marathi poet and Dalit activist Namdev Dhasal (1949-2014). This year, this festival will complete eight years. Namdev Dhasal’s real name was Namdev Laxman Dhasal. He was originally from Maharashtra. He composed compositions against racial harassment. The famous poet died in 2014 due to cancer.
