Lakhimpur Kheri, 2 October (H.C.). Zuari Industries (SPE-Division) organized a two-day conference for future safety of sugarcane by successfully concluding the first Round Table Conference on increasing productivity and climate-friendly smart agriculture strategies’. The conference was held on September 30 -1 October at Gobind Sugar Mill in Aira Khamaria. The conference was attended by leading farmers, industry experts, scientists and policy makers and discussed the main challenges in sugarcane cultivation and permanent strategies for future development. Especially in areas with sugar mills and cross pollines, crop productivity, improvement of soil health and solving the challenges of sugarcane farmers, ensuring environmental protection were the main objective of this boundary conference.
On the first day of the conference, VK Shukla, Additional Can Commissioner and Director, UPCSR, Shahajahanpur were present as the chief guests and the conference was inaugurated in the presence of Ved Prakash Singh, DCO of Lakhimpur. The conference was attended by 40 subject experts from about 150 farmers and reputed institutions like UPCSR, ICAR, Irrigation Department, Netafim, Balrampur Sugar, ICRISAT etc.
During the conference, our chief guest Additional Cain Commissioner, Lucknow and Director, UPCSR VK Shukla said, “SPE Division of Zuari has taken a commendable step by organizing this conference on future safety of sugarcane. Farmers, agricultural experts and scientists united on this platform, who discussed the challenges of sugarcane farmers in UP. Through its efforts, Zuari SPE promotes the best practices of Division sugarcane cultivation, as well as striving to create good connections between farmers, industry, technology suppliers and research institutes. I am confident that the learning from this conference will encourage other industries to organize such sessions, to spread and discuss information among all stakeholders. ”During the conference, Mr. Alok Saxena, Executive Director and Unit Head, SPE Division said,” We are feeling very happy while organizing the first version of the Round Table Conference, which we are feeling very happy, which farmers, scientists, scientists and industries are feeling very happy to organize the first version of the conference.
