Lakhimpur Kheri, 07 October (H.C.). District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal conducted a terrestrial inspection of Sankata Devi road and mother Janaki Saujanya Chowk under construction on Monday morning. He expressed his displeasure after seeing the high drain from the road and asked Jio Municipality how to drain water?
He reprimanded the officials and said that the work should be done as per the standard. Instructions were given to Sanjay Kumar, EO of Nagar Palika Parishad, to complete the work with quality and timeliness. The DM alerted that negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances in terms of quality.
When he made the drain high by the road, he asked in a strict tone how the road water would go into the drain? Instructed that some distance should be made round hole on the drain, so that the water of the road can easily go into the drain during the rain. He directed that in future, special care should be taken of timeliness in completing the work along with the high quality of the road. During this, EO Sanjay Kumar, Under Engineer Amardeep Maurya were present.
After this, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal inspected the selfie point created to instill confidence in the daughters under the government’s Mission Shakti Abhiyan and Beti Padhao Yojana at the city’s mother Janaki Saujanya Chowk. He said that these are selfie points being built under special initiatives. They were created with the aim of widespread publicity and creating enthusiasm among daughters as per the intention of the government.
