Mumbai Accident News: 24-Year-Old Rams Speeding Car Into Couple’s Vehicle At Bandra Sea Link, Two Hospitalised; FIR Registered | (Photo Courtesy: FPJ)
Mumbai: A devastating accident occurred on the Bandra Sea Link on the night of April 4, leaving a couple injured and hospitalised. Rehaan Hussain, 29, and his fiancée, Aimen Tamboowala, 26, were driving home when their car was hit by a speeding Skoda driven by 24-year-old Eshaan Patel.
According to witnesses, the Skoda was traveling at a high speed of approximately 120kmph, while an Uber driver, who was also speeding at around 100kmph, tried to overtake the couple’s car. The Skoda, unable to stop in time, lost control and crashed into the Uber, which in turn hit the couple’s car, causing it to skid, spin, and crash into the Bandra sea link bridge.
The accident occurred at around 11:00 PM, and the couple was rushed to the hospital by a helpful passerby. Rehaan underwent surgery for his nose and mouth injuries, as well as facial reconstruction, while Aimen received stitches for her head wounds and was diagnosed with a broken right rib.
The police arrived at the scene shortly after 11:30 PM and registered an FIR at the nearest police station. The case is currently under investigation, and the authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The Uber driver, who was not carrying any passengers at the time of the accident, was not injured. The Skoda driver, identified as 24-year-old Eshaan Patel, also escaped without injuries.
The couple who were brutally injured took back the FIR registered against the 24-year-old Eshaan Patel a few days after the incident occured on the Bandra Sea Link on the evening of April 4.
