Thousands of Hindu supporters organized a huge demonstration under the auspices of the Hindu Raksha Sangharsh Samiti at Ramlila Maidan in the city to protest against the violence and atrocities being carried out by Islamic fundamentalists on Hindus in Bangladesh. After the protest, the angry Hindus marched to the District Magistrate’s Office and submitted the memorandum addressed to the President to the District Magistrate.
Thousands of people participated in the outrage performance by Hindu supporters. Addressing him, senior social activist Ramesh expressed deep concern over the recent incidents happening in Bangladesh. He said that Hindus and minorities are being targeted in Bangladesh. Looting and arson are being done in their temples, houses and offices. The assets are being looted. Hindu women are being raped on a large scale. Hindu families are being forcibly converted. If they do not do so, they are being massacred. He said that the incidents happening with Hindus in Bangladesh are terrorizing the whole world and Hindu society residing there. He said that after the plight of Hindus in Pakistan, now Bangladesh is also adopting terrorist behavior with Hindus, following the path of Pakistan. Efforts to change power in Bangladesh have inspired the country to move towards Islamic jihad. If a similar behavior with Hindus continues in Bangladesh, then all Hindu society of India will be ready to fight for the Hindu society of Bangladesh.
After this, the prominent people from various organizations also expressed their resentment about the horrific atrocities on Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh and asked the President to tightened India’s tough stance and appropriate action against Bangladesh. The speakers expressed their anger over the current situation of Bangladesh. He also called upon to prevent the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and called Bangladesh chief Swami Chinmay Krishna for unconditional release.
