As per the instructions of Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, once again the allowance for personnel maintaining extra high-tension lines and substations through the hotline method without taking shutdowns at Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (M.P. Transco) has been doubled. Additionally, the allowance for each operation has also been increased twofold.

Now, ₹80 per operation instead of ₹40

Earlier, the allowance ranged from ₹6 to ₹40; now it will be between ₹12 to ₹80 per job/operation.

It is noteworthy that the consent of the personnel is required to carry out the maintenance work of extra high-tension lines through the hotline method without a shutdown. After receiving training from the Central Electricity Authority in Bangalore, the personnel become eligible for the job/operation. Since hotline operations are highly risky, this allowance is provided to the personnel.

Orders have been issued

On the initiative of Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar, the allowance for hotline maintenance personnel in M.P. Transco has been increased for the first time since 2013. The Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has also issued orders regarding this increase.

Contractual workers also receive hotline allowance

Earlier, as per the instructions of the Energy Minister, the M.P. Transco had started giving hotline maintenance training to contractual workers as well and provided them with the hotline allowance. Previously, this allowance was only applicable to regular employees.
