Bangladesh all -rounder Nasir Hussain has returned to the cricket field after a two -year ban, after which he will be seen playing for Roopganj Tigers Cricket Club in the Dhaka Premier Division League match.

 

Hussain, 33, was banned by 6 months suspension by September 2023 due to a violation of ICC’s Anti -Corruption Code. Hussain represented Bangladesh in 115 international matches in all formats from 2011 to 2018.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has said in a press release that the way for him to play official cricket has been revealed since 7 April 2025. The board said in its official statement that ‘Nasir Hussain has now fulfilled all the requirements of the ban, including completing compulsory anti -corruption education session’.

 

 

 

Hussain was banned in September 2023.

According to the ICC, Hussain has been banned from all types of cricket for two years by September 2023, including six months suspension. He accepted three allegations of violation of the Anti-Corruption Code of the Emirates Cricket Board during the 2020-21 Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Hussain represented Bangladesh in all three formats.

Hussain represented Bangladesh in all three formats of international cricket from 2011 to 2018. During this, this star all -rounder played 19 Tests, 65 ODIs and 31 T20 Internationals. He has scored more than 6,000 runs in both first class and List A Cricket. Hussain has 17 centuries in both formats. His return to competitive cricket after a two -year gap is a major achievement of his career.
