According to the ‘South China Morning Post’ report, the auction is being organized by the Shenzhen Nanshan People’s Court on the Judicial Platform of Alibaba. The ownership of these crocodiles was first Guangdong Hongy Crocodile Industry Company Was near, which was established by a person named Mo Junarong in the year 2005.
The company was once in profit, now bankruptcy
Mo Junarong had earlier made a lot of profit from this business, but later the company became insolvency in financial crisis. Due to this, the court has started auction of their properties. The auction will start from 10 March 2025 and will run till 9 May 2025.
Business related to crocodile is considered profitable
Crocodiles are considered very beneficial in terms of business. Their skin is used in products such as leather products, fashion accessories, shoes and bags. Apart from this, crocodile meat, health tonic, alcohol and cosmetic products are also used.
Strict terms and conditions for buyers
Any buyer participating in this auction will have to take all responsibilities related to transporting, loading, waiting and handling of crocodiles themselves. In addition, it is mandatory to have a valid license for the purchase of crocodiles.
If the buyer does not fulfill these conditions, the advance amount deposited by him – Rs 33.62 lakh – will confiscate the court.
Thousands have seen auction pages so far
More than four thousand people have seen the auction page so far, but no one has taken the initiative to buy. Potential buyers are hesitant due to strict rules and the challenge of logistics.
