Thane: The Thane traffic police issued a traffic advisory on April 5 via X for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, which will be celebrated on April 14. The advisory emphasises the need to prevent traffic congestion in the area, ensuring smooth and secure traffic flow for the convenience of the public.

No Entry & Alternate Route

No Entry: All types of vehicles traveling from Mumbai/Thane/Mankoli to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Gauk via Dhamankar Naka and Old Thane Agra Road will not be allowed entry. This route will be closed to general traffic.

Route: The said vehicles will go to the desired destination via Dhamankar Naka, Kalyan Naka, Vanjarpatti.

No Entry: Self from Ranjanoli Chowk from Bhiwandi City. All types of vehicles are going from Anand Dighe Chowk to Three Batti. ‘Entry closed at Anand Dighe Chowk.

Route: The said vehicles’ own. Anand Dighe Chowk, Vanjarpatti, will go to the desired destination.

No Entry: All types of vehicles going from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk towards Dhamankar Naka are ‘Entry Closure’ near Kesharbagh Naka, Deepak Fabric Shop.

Route: The said vehicles will go from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk via Vanjarpatti Naka to the desired destination.

Timing of the Restrictions

The traffic control will be in effect from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM on April 14, 2025.

Police vehicles, fire brigade, ambulances, and other essential service vehicles will not be affected by these restrictions.

This seems to be aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow and security during the celebrations, which can often result in increased crowding and congestion.
