Why is gold falling?

Gold prices declined on 4 April 2025 due to the US imposing new tariffs and increasing trade war. Gold prices fell by Rs 1600 in the morning, which was a major setback for investors. Experts say that investors are selling gold to compensate for losses in other affected assets, which is likely to continue to fall in its price.

Apart from this, there was a fall in gold prices in the international market, where the price of gold fell from $ 3163 per gram to $ 3100 per gram. Gold prices in India depend on global market rates, import duty, taxes and fluctuations in currency exchange rates, affecting its prices on a daily basis.
