The controversial live streamer, named Le Chuanqu, who reportedly earns 142 million yuan (Rs. 1,67,35,55,200) a year faced a tax evasion fine. She was recently charged with a 7.58 million yuan fine (Rs. 8.93 crore), which is more than the fancy amount of Rs. 8,88,88,888.
Chuanqu, who is popularly known by her online name ‘Ququ Big Woman’, was fined by the Fourth Inspection Bureau of the Shanghai Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation. The bureau investigated and proceeded with the case in accordance with the law.

The woman concealed sales revenue by collecting payments through personal accounts. She also deceitfully represented personal labour as business income, thereby evading taxes, reported QQ.com. The Chinese news portal further stated that the tax authorities fined her for tax evasion. She was made to settle the total amount of 7.58 million yuan, including a late fee.
The ‘Love Guru’ went viral in 2023 for advising women on how to marry rich men for financial gain. She found an audience through livestreams, using the platform to teach and profit from her advice. A report in the Chinese news portal, SCMP, noted that she would charge 1,143 yuan for a one-on-one consultation, with her private coaching packages exceeding 10,000 yuan.
She would often communicate with her clients using code words, avoiding direct terms like “rich” or “money.” For the influencer and her viewers, money was referred to as “rice,” pregnancy as “carrying a ball,” and being married as “inside the fortress.”
