Heatwave havoc in North India

According to the Meteorological Department, a strong impact of northwest winds has started, due to which a state of heatwave is being created. This wave can start from 6 April and run till 10 April. However, the effect of western disturbance is likely to provide some relief in the next weekend, in which some areas may see rain and dust storm.

Yellow alert in Delhi

Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday, which was 3.1 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 18.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted the sky to remain clean and heat stroke on Monday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 41 degrees and the minimum is 21 degrees. In the next six days, the temperature may be between 39 to 42 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 209 on Sunday evening, which falls in the poor category.

Barmer is the hottest in Rajasthan

The temperature in Barmer, Rajasthan reached 45.6 degrees Celsius, 6.8 degrees above normal and has the highest temperature of April till date. Other parts of the state also showed the effect of heatstroke, such as 45.0 in Jaisalmer, 43.2 in Chittorgarh, 43.0 in Jodhpur, 42.4 in Kota and 42.0 ° C in Jalore. The Meteorological Department has warned that the temperature may increase further in the coming days.

Red alert issued in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the situation of heat stroke is likely to remain for the next 4 to 5 days. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in the state.

Heat may increase in Uttar Pradesh

The scorching heat wave in Uttar Pradesh may continue from April to June. In many parts of the state, day temperature has reached above 40 degrees. Prayagraj recorded a temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The Meteorological Department estimates that the temperature can often cross 45 degrees and there is no possibility of rain during this period. The state government has instructed the administration and hospitals to remain alert.

Summer like May in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, the heat like May is being felt in early April. Ratlam recorded a temperature of 42.6 degrees on Sunday, the highest in the state. There is also a possibility of heat stroke in districts like Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Niwari. The temperature in Bhopal was 33.6 on Friday and 35.2 degrees on Saturday.

Heat outbreak in Maharashtra also

In Maharashtra too, there is no expectation of relief from heat for the next four days. The temperature was recorded at 35.9 degrees on Saturday in Santa Cruz, Mumbai and 33.9 degrees in Colaba. The temperature in Thane-Bellapur area reached 38 degrees. According to meteorologists, this round of heat and humidity will continue.
