What was meant to be a joyful fansign event for K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE has turned into controversy after a fan accused an on-site staff member of sexual harassment. Held on April 5, 2025, the event is now under heavy scrutiny after the fan took to social media to narrate a disturbing experience that allegedly occurred during the security screening process.

According to a now-viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the fan described undergoing a security check commonly used at such events to prevent hidden recordings. However, what should have been a routine inspection took a troubling turn when the staff allegedly issued inappropriate instructions during the pat-down.

Check out the post below:

“At ZEROBASEONE’s fansign today, the staff said they were checking for recording devices and told me to feel my chest,” the fan wrote, as quoted by Koreaboo. “Then they told me again to touch the area where my skin was sticking out above my bra. I said, ‘That’s my breast though’ and the staff member responded, ‘Yeah, that’s why you should feel it haha.’ So I touched it again. They went on to say things like ‘Try pinching it,’ ‘Just really touch it yourself,’ ‘Feel under your chest too’ and ‘Try jumping.'”

The fan described the experience as both shocking and degrading, stating that being asked to perform such an intimate check on themselves under the gaze of staff members was humiliating. The post has since ignited widespread outrage across fan communities and social media, with many expressing disbelief that such an incident could occur at a highly regulated public event.

In addition to the harassment claim, the fan also criticised how badly the event was handled overall. They noted that the meet-and-greet with the idols was extremely rushed, with staff reportedly shouting at fans and members to speed up the interaction.

“One more thing I’ll complain about: If you’re going to yell at each member to move on after 30 seconds, then don’t bother with a face-to-face meeting at all. And don’t rush into video calls after the meet-and-greet. LOL, like, ‘Hey, [name]! You know…’ and then yelling at me to move on…,” the fan stated.

Despite the ongoing backlash, WakeOne Entertainment has not released any official statement addressing the incident. Their silence has only added to the frustration among fans, many of whom are now demanding a thorough investigation, an apology to the affected fan, and proper staff training moving forward.
