IPL 2025: BCCI has imposed a heavy fine by BCCI, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team, who won against Mumbai Indians (Mi). Apart from this, Lucknow team bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi has also been fined. Lucknow Super Giants have been fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over speed during the match and captain Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 12 lakh. Digvesh Rathi has been fined 50 percent of the match fees. He made obscene gestures after dismissing a batsman while bowling. He was also punished for this act in the last match.

Violation of IPL code of conduct

According to reports, Rishabh Pant, captain of Lucknow Super Giants, has been fined on Friday (April 4) to maintain a slow over speed during the 16th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Mumbai Indians at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekna Cricket Stadium. Under Section 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which belongs to minimum over-rate offenses, Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 12 lakh as it is his team’s first crime this season.

 

Lucknow Super Giants bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi has also been fined heavy. The IPL code of conduct was violated during the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians on Friday. For this, they have been fined 50 percent of the match fees. This season was his second level 1 crime under Article 2.5 and hence he got two demerit points. Earlier, a demerit points have also been added to his account, which he got during the LSG match played against Punjab Kings on 1 April 2025. The decision of the match referee for violation of Level 1 of the Code of Conduct will be final and binding.
