Pune City is facing a major traffic congestion problem as the number of vehicles is increasing day by day with no corresponding expansion in road infrastructure.

In the financial year 2024-25, the city has recorded a significant increase in vehicle registration with 3.07 lakh new vehicles registered with the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO).

With this, the total number of vehicles has crossed the 39 lakh mark.
