Bihar Bridge News: Several incidents of bridge collapse in Bihar have come to light amid Nitish Kumar’s claims of corruption -free government, on which a PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court. During the hearing of this petition, the Supreme Court reprimanded the Bihar government and said that when an incident takes place, an officer is transferred and later called back.
The PIL filed in the Supreme Court has claimed that there have been about 300 incidents of bridge collapse in Bihar recently. The government is putting the safety of the people in danger. Meanwhile, a bench of Chief Justice of Supreme Court Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar said that when a bridge collapses, you transfer the responsible officer and later when everything is calm, you call the same officer back. This comment was made when the Bihar government submitted a list of government schemes in its defense to the Supreme Court. Later, the bench of the Chief Justice said that we have read the government’s reply, we have decided to transfer the matter to Patna High Court. After which now the PIL in this case will be heard in Patna High Court. The PIL has demanded that all the buildings be audited, as well as a panel which should identify weak bridges and submit a report to the government for repair or demolition. Flood incidents are the highest in Bihar. In such a situation, people are facing further trouble due to the bridge collapse.
