A major initiative is being taken this year to further strengthen the rail network in Bihar. The Railway Ministry has decided to give the state a gift of two new railway lines, whose total estimated cost is said to be more than Rs 700 crore. These projects will not only improve the connectivity of the state, but will also make the journey of local people and devotees easier.
The decision has been announced after an important meeting between Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. This is an important step for Bihar from an economic and social perspective, which will directly benefit people.
Rail journey directly from Sultanganj to Deoghar
Sultanganj-Deoghar railway line is a big project that was waiting for a long time, especially for the devotees traveling to Kawad. Now millions of Shiva devotees going from Sultanganj to Deoghar are going to get the facility of train, who go on this holy journey every year in the month of Sawan.

Bihta-Aurangabad railway line: Connectivity will get boost from Rajdhani
The new railway line connecting two important cities of Bihar – Bihta and Aurangabad has also been announced. The project will add the capital Patna to Aurangabad in only one and a half to two hours, which till now used to travel time on the road.
