During April to May 2025, Railways is going to start a large infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh, in which a third railway line will be laid between Gorakhpur and Kusmhi station. The purpose of this project is to increase the speed of trains, reduce the blockage interruptions and provide better facilities to the passengers. However, passengers may face temporary inconveniences due to this development work, especially during the summer holidays when the demand for rail travel is at its peak.
Railway administration says that this new third line will be built in Dominarh-Gorakhpur-Gorakhpur Cantt section and its work will start from April to May. During this period, about 500 trains will either be canceled or their route will be changed. Due to this, 15 trains passing through Moradabad division, including Shaheed Express, will be temporarily canceled.

Security and Inspection: Railway Safety Commissioner Role

This inspection will ensure that the new railway line stands up at all security standards and its operation can be started smoothly. According to the Railways, the average speed of trains will improve with the commissioning of this new section and the pressure on the line will also be reduced.
Relief to passengers: refunds and alternative arrangements
