Stealing the show on the runway was Bollywood’s beloved actress Karisma Kapoor, who turned showstopper for Satya Paul’s stunning collection, Alchemy, at Mumbai’s buzzing BKC on March 27.

True to her classic yet experimental style, Karisma wowed the audience in a striking black-and-white sequin saree from Satya Paul’s creation. Adding an edgy flair to the traditional drape, she paired the saree with a modern full-sleeved, black-and-white striped shirt that stood in place of a typical blouse. To further elevate the silhouette, the actress cinched the saree with a sleek black belt, creating a structured, chic look.
Karisma kept her accessories minimal, opting only for a pair of black heels, allowing her outfit to take the spotlight.
While her outfit turned heads, Karisma’s makeup added just the right dose of glamour. She sported a clean, flawless base, subtly smoky eyes, and a soft blush that added warmth to her cheeks. Satya Paul’s Alchemy collection at Lakme Fashion Week celebrated elegance and versatility. As per FDCI, the creative directors David Abraham, Kevin Nigli, and Rakesh Thakore drew inspiration from mid-century American modernist artists Ellsworth Kelly and Henri Matisse, incorporating bold patterns and artistic flair.
Designed for modern, dynamic women, the collection showcased flowing kaftans, delicate dresses, and vibrant tunics. Crafted from luxurious fabrics like linen, chiffon, satin, and organza, the ensembles balanced comfort with style, with select pieces adorned with shimmering glass beads, bugles, and sequins for added glamour.
