Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Though parents and educators both focus on the child’s growth, the relationship is often complicated and sometimes even strained. In a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between parents and educators, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will launch the CBSE Parenting Calendar for the academic session 2025-26.

“This initiative is designed to foster a collaborative environment that enhances a child’s emotional, social, and academic development,” Himanshu Gupta, CBSE secretary said.

He added that parenting plays a vital role in shaping a child’s future, and while schools provide academic knowledge and skills, the home environment lays the foundation for resilience, creativity, and critical thinking.

The launch of this calendar aims to empower both schools and parents to work together in recognising and nurturing each child’s unique strengths, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

“The CBSE Parenting Calendar will focus on strengthening parent-teacher partnerships, promoting open dialogue, and improving student outcomes for holistic development,” Gupta stated.

By implementing this framework, schools can expect to create a cohesive support system that fosters better relationships between parents, educators, and students.

The Parenting Calendar will include structured orientations, meetings, and initiatives to encourage meaningful engagement between schools and parents. It will also provide recommendations for effective interactions and promote continuous collaboration to ensure the growth and well-being of students.

The official launch of the CBSE Parenting Calendar will take place on the CBSE official YouTube channel on Friday (March 28) at 4 pm. All school principals, teachers, counsellors, wellness educators, and parents are invited to join the live event, where they will gain valuable insights into the Parenting Calendar’s objectives and its role in strengthening parent-school collaboration.

The event aims to encourage active participation from all stakeholders to create a nurturing and supportive educational ecosystem, working together towards the well-being of every student.
