Mumbai: The state government has given its approval for the PCRS 2.0 App for citizens to lodge complaints about potholes and maintenance of the roads under the Public Works Department (PWD).

The government has approved two different Android apps – one for citizens and one for PWD engineers. The department has developed the Pothole Complaint Redressal System – PCRS 2.0 for the online registration of complaints. Besides, myPWD App has been developed for the engineers who will act on the complaints within a prescribed time frame.

The engineers will respond to the alert mode developed for the app. The deputy engineers will get seven days, the executive engineers will get 15, and the superintendent engineer will get 30 days to act on the complaints under the alert mode.

Last year, the PCRS system was launched online without the app.
