DK Shivkumar: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has rejected the allegations leveled by the BJP. These allegations have said that DK Shivkumar has vowed to amend the Constitution to give four percent reservation to Muslims in the state.

… So I will retire from politics

Shivkumar said, “If this claim is proved to be true then I will retire from politics.” Following this statement of the Congress leader, the BJP on Tuesday staged a protest across the state and demanded his resignation on the matter.

Explanation was given to the high command.

Shivkumar said, ‘BJP is unable to digest the truth and my political attitude expressed by me in the interview. When did I not say that I am going to change the constitution? If I had said so, I would have accepted it. We are the ones who brought the constitution and we are the ones who are protecting it. Our leaders are intelligent and have seen the interview.

Congress high command sought clarification

He further said, ‘These BJP leaders had said that they would change the constitution. “If I ever said that I will change the constitution, I will retire from politics.” When asked if the Congress high command had sought clarification, he said, “Yes, he has sought clarification.” I have asked him to make a detailed review of the interview. They agree that I did not say anything like this.

BJP attacks Congress

In a media program on Sunday, Shivkumar allegedly suggested that “good days” could come when the constitution is amended. However, the Congress leader on Monday claimed that his words have been incorrectly introduced and he never said that he would change the constitution.

Meanwhile, the BJP has targeted the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and the Congress party, alleging that their comment on Muslim quota highlights the party’s “hidden agenda” to change the Constitution.

This is the Congress’s hidden agenda.

On Monday, the BJP also raised this issue in Parliament. Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged in a press conference that, “Changing the constitution for votes is the Congress’s hidden agenda and Shivkumar’s comment is its beginning ‘.
