Kia India has introduced the updated EV6 in the country, pricing it at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest version of Kia’s flagship electric vehicle brings enhanced design, improved performance, and advanced technology.
The new Kia EV6 comes with 15 upgrades over its predecessor, featuring a sportier front design influenced by Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy. It now includes a sleek Star Map Graphic Connected DRL with Sequential Indicators and a GT-Line front bumper for a more aggressive look. The SUV rides on 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels with a glossy finish, while the Star Map LED rear combination lamps with Sequential Indicators add to its futuristic styling.
Inside, the cabin offers a premium and spacious feel, highlighted by a new D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detection technology. The dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved display integrates advanced infotainment and navigation, enhancing the digital driving experience.
The new Kia EV6, built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), is equipped with an upgraded 84 kWh battery pack, it now offers an impressive ARAI-certified range of 663 km on a full charge, making it ideal for long journeys. Delivering 325 PS of power and 605 Nm of torque, the EV6 ensures a thrilling driving experience. Adding to its practicality, Kia’s ultra-fast charging system allows the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kW fast charger, making recharging quick and hassle-free.
With Kia Connect 2.0, the electric SUV now offers remote vehicle diagnostics through Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD) and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates for 34 ECU controllers, reducing the need for service center visits. The new Digital Key 2.0, powered by Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, allows users to unlock, start, and share access to the vehicle using a compatible smartphone, even without taking it out of their pocket.
On the safety front, the EV6 is equipped with the latest ADAS 2.0 suite, featuring 27 advanced driver assistance systems, including five new autonomous functions. Key highlights include upgraded Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) for junction turning, junction crossing, lane change assist, and evasive steering assist, ensuring added protection in complex driving situations. Lane Follow Assist 2.0 further helps maintain optimal lane positioning, reducing the risk of accidental departures.
The EV6 is available in five color options—Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Grey, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue Matte—giving buyers a range of stylish choices.
