Sydney: A video of an on-duty Uber Eats delivery agent allegedly urinating in an apartment lift in Australia’s Sydney has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred at Northview Apartments in Artarmon on March 10 afternoon and was caught on camera.
The clip shows the delivery person entering the lift and pressing the button for floor 10 to reach the customer’s house. With his back facing the CCTV, the man, holding a parcel in his right hand, appears to unzip his pants with the left and moves to the front corner of the lift.
The delivery personnel has been sacked for allegedly urinating in the apartment lift after the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on the internet.
Uber Eats Reacts
After the uproar, an Uber Eats spokesperson said they “strongly condemned this kind of behaviour, which has no place on the Uber platform.”
Police Action
Reportedly, NSW Police confirmed that an investigation had been launched and urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
