The Gujarat government is taking new steps to bring development to every corner of the state. Under this, work is going on on many projects in the state. In this context, it has been decided to construct a rubber dam in Chhota Udaipur district, which will be the first rubber dam in Gujarat. The dam will be built on the Haran River in Rajwasna village of Bodeli taluka in the district. The construction of this rubber dam is estimated to cost about Rs 100 crore. This dam will provide irrigation and drinking water to 60 villages of Bodeli. With the help of this new technology, the water problem will end. It is noteworthy that the farmers of Bodeli taluka have been struggling with the water problem for a long time.
Gujarat government sanctions Rs 128 crore
The membership dam was constructed in the state of Bombay. At present, the Rajwasana Dam is dilapidated and has 30 feet of soil and sand, due to which farmers are facing lack of water for irrigation. Keeping this in mind, the Gujarat government has sanctioned Rs 128 crore for the renovation of the Rajwasna Dam. After the foundation stone of this dam in the near future, the construction work of the dam will be started by the office of dry irrigation department-2 located in Bodeli.
Out of the Rs 128 crore allocated by the government for the construction of the new dam, Rs 100 crore will be spent on the construction of the dam and Rs 28 crore on the dam canals. The construction of the membership of Rajwasna Rubber Dam will increase the water level and irrigation water will be available to the surrounding villages.
