The case of ruthless murder of Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput in Meerut has shocked the entire country. In this, his wife Muskan Rastogi along with his lover Sahil Shukla carried out the murder. Meanwhile, another heartbreaking incident has come to light from Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, where just two weeks after marriage, a woman took the help of contract killer to kill her husband.
According to the news agency PTI, the accused woman’s name is Pragati Yadav, who was married to Dilip Yadav (25) on 5 March. Pragati was in a love affair with a young man named Anurag Yadav for the last four years. However, he was forced to get married to Dileep by forced the family’s will.
Auraiya Superintendent of Police Abhijeet R Shankar said that Pragati along with Anurag planned to kill husband Dilip, who is unhappy with the marriage and lover Anurag. For this, both of them had hired a contract killer named Ramaji Chaudhary for two lakh rupees. The shocking thing is that Pragati used the money of the omen found at the wedding to give the betel nut for the murder.
On March 19, Dilip Yadav was returning from Kannauj for some work. Meanwhile, the betel nut killer and his companions took him on a motorcycle and took him to the fields, where he first beat him up badly and then shot him. Locals informed the police after seeing the injured Dileep, after which he was rushed to the hospital. In critical condition, first Bidhuna Community Health Center, then Saifai Hospital and finally Gwalior were sent. However, he was later brought back to Auraiya, where he died on 21 March.
The police investigated the CCTV footage of the area, identifying the main accused Ramaji. The police then arrested Ramaji and Anurag. During interrogation, he confessed his crime and spoke the name of Pragati as a mastermind behind the murder. Police have recovered two pistols, four live cartridges, a bike, two mobile phones, one purse, Aadhaar card and three thousand rupees from the accused.
