Mumbai: The producers of Yash and Kiara’s film ‘Toxic’ have surprised the trade circle by announcing that the film will be released on March 19 next year. It has already been announced that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love and War’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be released on the same day. Thus, if no filmmaker retreats, both these big films will hit the box office. These days festivals like Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi are celebrated in the south, so filmmakers are eager to take advantage of these holiday days.
However, the business world believes that this decision may harm both films. ‘Love and War’ will not get the expected collection in the south. On the other hand, even though Yash ‘KGF’ series may have been well known among the audience of the Hindi belt, but they will still have to face difficulties in collection in north and western India.
These days, there will also be a competition to get maximum screen between the two films.
‘Love and War’ is being told the remake of the old Hindi film ‘Sangam’. On the other hand, ‘Toxic’ is an action film in Yash’s style. Apart from Kiara Advani, it also has artists like Nayantara, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.
