But I feel very guilty. I was cheated out of ₹20,000 and took a loan of ₹15,000 from a friend, which I cannot repay. I am very sorry, brother, sister, mom, dad, and my friends. You all gave me a good life, but I could not fulfill your dreams. Please forgive me.”

Vaibhav was from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and lived in the university hostel. His roommate said that the previous night, they had studied together until 2 AM.
