Mumbai Indians (Mi) head coach Mahela Jayawardene has made it clear that no fixed deadline has been fixed for Jaspreet Bumrah’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Bumrah’s absence will be a major challenge for Mumbai Indians, especially when the team is going to play its first match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 23 March.
Bumrah will miss the initial match due to injury!
Jasprit Bumrah is still recovering from his back injury and is currently rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
For this reason, Bumrah will not be able to play the initial match of IPL 2025.

Hardik Pandya said:
“I am lucky to play three captains with me – Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Jaspreet Bumrah. They always support me and they are present whenever I need them.”
It is believed that Bumrah can join the Mumbai Indians team in the first week of April and continue his rehabilitation team.
